Hack Details for your WHARFEDALE DVD, Blu-Ray or HD DVD Player

WHARFEDALE DVD-750
To convert this player to Multi-Region

1. Open the disc tray
2. Place a region 1 disc in the tray, but don't close it
3. Press the buttons 0, 1, 2 and then 3 on your remote control in order, one at a time
4. Press the play button on either your remote or the player

To return this player back to Region 2 only and its factory default settings

1. Open the disc tray
2. Press the Zoom button on your remote control
3. Press the Return button on your remote control
4. Your player should now go into Standby mode
5. Press the Power button on your remote control

To return this player to Region 2 only (alternative method)

1. Open the disc tray
2. Place a region 2 disc in the tray, but don't close it
3. Press the buttons Return and then Play on your remote control in order, one at a time

WHARFEDALE DVD-M5
To change the Wharfedale DVD M5 to play any Region, simply follow the
steps below :

Press the Setup key to go into the setup menu

Type 62836 & then press the Enter key

Select All & then press the Enter key

Now press the Setup key to exit from the menu

Press REPEAT on the remote control
enter: 38767
O2 shall appear on screen
Press 1-5 zone (9 for all zone)
Open the tray, insert a DVD
Close the tray.
Player is now changed zone

Open drawer
Press: 8, 1, 3, 2 and 8
Display shows: Region Code 2
Press Enter key 5 times until code is changed to 9
Press Play (or Setup to save & quit)
Player is now multi region

Open the DVD players tray

Restore to Region 2:

Open the DVD players tray
Place a Region 2 disc in the tray, but don't close it
Press the buttons Return and then Play on your remote control in order, one at a time
Note: This machine has problems playing the following Region 2 discs: Jaws, LA Confidential, Ten Things I Hate About You and Leon. However there is a firmware update for the machine to deal with the issues, so see your local electrical retailer.

Multi-Region for Older Players:

Press Open/Close button on your remote control
Press Zoom, A-B, Up, Left, Down and Right

Multi-Region Code 1:

Press Open button to eject the tray
Press Setup to enter main menu
Press 4, 9, 5, 4 and 0
The OSD will now indicate a Version menu
Select Version menu and change region code using Up and Down keys
Exit setup and Close the tray
Multi-Region Code 2:

Switch On unit and select Set-up
On the general page press 8, 8, 8 and 8
The version menu will appear
Select the Region menu and set to 0 - This menu will also allow the selection of HDCD, VCD and WMA formats
Press Play and exit the set-up menu

Using the remote press 8, 1, 3, 2 then 8
A REGION block will pop-up
Press Enter until you have your desired region (Multizone is 9)
Press Play

What To Do If Your Player Is Not Listed Here Yet.

If one of these hacks does work for you then GREAT! please leave us feedback and let us know on our forum :) However, If you have tried and tried this hack till your blue in the face and you STILL cant get that region 1 copy of 'Michael Flatley's Lord of the dance' to work then you still have a few options:

Use DVD hacks to search all other internet resources for your hack by entert your player model number below:

OPTION 2

Post your problem on the forum and we will try and help.

OPTION 3

Consider using a UK based online rental company for your DVD's such as or who have a fabulous range of movies to rent with no late return fees and a free trial. Its much cheaper to do it this way than to wait for sky digital or buy region 2 or 1 films from the internet.
