Hack Details for your SHERWOOD DVD, Blu-Ray or HD DVD Player

SHERWOOD DVD-V756
Turn On the player
Ensure that the display shows No Disc
Press Stop Forward Skip and Backward Skip on the players front panel
Press Play on the players front panel
Now on the Remote Control Press 0
Open the players tray
Insert the DVD you wish to play
Close the draw
You should get a message appear on the TV screen
To complete the process, press Open/Close

Open disc tray
Press numbers 8, 8, 8, 8 on remote controller
System Menu will be displayed on OSD
Press Enter on remote to select region menu
Use Up/Down keys to select region 0, then press Enter
Use Up/Down keys to select Exit Menu, then press Enter
Close disc tray

Press the Pause button on your Remote Control
Using your Remote Control enter the code 3, 1, 4, 1, 5 and 9
Press the 0 button on your Remote for Region free, 1 for Region 1 or 2 for Region 2
Press the Pause button on your remote control
Power off your player and wait a few seconds
Power on your player
Firmware Display:

Press the Setup button on the Remote Control
Select TV Aspect and place the cursor on the 16:9 Wide option
Using the Remote Control enter the code 1, 3, 9, 7, 1, 3 and 9
Press the Enter button
You should now see the version information screen
Pressing Setup button on the Remote Control to exit this info screen

What To Do If Your Player Is Not Listed Here Yet.

If one of these hacks does work for you then GREAT! please leave us feedback and let us know on our forum :) However, If you have tried and tried this hack till your blue in the face and you STILL cant get that region 1 copy of 'Michael Flatley's Lord of the dance' to work then you still have a few options:

Post your problem on the forum and we will try and help.

OPTION 3

Consider using a UK based online rental company for your DVD's such as or who have a fabulous range of movies to rent with no late return fees and a free trial. Its much cheaper to do it this way than to wait for sky digital or buy region 2 or 1 films from the internet.
