Hack Details for your SCHNEIDER DVD, Blu-Ray or HD DVD Player

SCHNEIDER DVD-810
To change the current region setting on this player

1. Press the Menu button on your remote control
2. Press the 9 button on your remote control
3. Press the Open/Close button on your remote control, note the draw will not open
4. Press the 5 button on your remote control
5. Press the Mute button on your remote control when presented with the region selection page
6. Press the OK button on your remote control when presented with the region selection page
7. Press the Exit button on your remote control when presented with the region selection page
8. The word ALL will appear on the screen and your player will now play discs from any region

To enable VideoCD playback on this unit

1. Open the drive tray
2. Place any CD in the drive tray
3. Press the Stop button on your remote control
4. Press the Menu button on your remote control
5. Press the 9 button on your remote control
6. Press the 1-ALL button on your remote control
7. Press the Open/Close button on your remote control
8. You should now be in a new menu in which you can enable VideoCD playback

SCHNEIDER DVD-801
Remove any disc from the player. Press MENU, 9, OPEN/CLOSE, 5 on your remote control. This will bring up a region-coding screen. For region '0' press the MUTE button.

Press the Mute button
VCD Hack:

Press the Open button on the Remote to open the drive tray
Place an audio CD in the drive tray
Press the Open button on the Remote to close the drive tray
Press the Menu button
Press the 1 button
Press the Index (1-All) button
Press the Open button
Press the 1 button

Press the 9 button on your Remote

You will now enter the region selection page, and can change the player to any Region

Open CD drawer
Press Setup on the Remote
Choose the right item in the menu. This is the one that has settings VFD, Password etc.)
Press button 3, 3, 3, 3
In the secret menu now displayed choose the Region code 0 - 6 and confirm with the Enter button

Press Open/Close on remote
Press Clear on remote
Press 1, 3, 6 and 9 on the remote
Press 1 on remote, for region 1, 2, for region 2, and so on, or 0 for multi-region playback
Press Open/Close on your remote

SCHNEIDER HCS-500
Open the players drawer
Press Volume Up on your Remote
Press Fast Forward on your Remote
The on screen display will show 321 followed by the current Region code
Press Volume Up on your Remote
Press Fast Forward on your Remote
Repeat steps 5 and 6 until the desired Region code is shown on the display
Press and hold the Angle button on the Remote for approximately five seconds to select the Region

Press the Open/Close button on the remote
Press the Clear button
Press 1, 3, 6 and 9
Press 0 for region free or 1 for region 1, 2 for region 2 etc..

What To Do If Your Player Is Not Listed Here Yet.

If one of these hacks does work for you then GREAT! please leave us feedback and let us know on our forum :) However, If you have tried and tried this hack till your blue in the face and you STILL cant get that region 1 copy of 'Michael Flatley's Lord of the dance' to work then you still have a few options:

Use DVD hacks to search all other internet resources for your hack by entert your player model number below:

OPTION 2

Post your problem on the forum and we will try and help.

OPTION 3

Consider using a UK based online rental company for your DVD's such as or who have a fabulous range of movies to rent with no late return fees and a free trial. Its much cheaper to do it this way than to wait for sky digital or buy region 2 or 1 films from the internet.
