To make the DVD 751 (firmware 7.03) multiregion using a ONE4ALL
URC7560 universal remote, follow the instructions
below...........................

1. Set up your remote to control the DVD as per the instructions that
came with the remote (the setup code is 0539)

2. Press the DVD button

3. Press the MAGIC button

4. Enter 085 (the dashes on your dvd will now appear)

3) Press 9 9 9 9 on the remote, you can do it rather slowly.
4) Press what region you want, 0 is regionfree.

PHILIPS DVD755VR
HACK 1
1) Put your R1 disc in the tray then Power the player off
2) Power it on, and wait for the check regional code to appear
3) Press 'display' - right cursor key - 'ok' - then 'play' button
4) The DVD should start playing - if you want the Main Menu, press the 'DISC Menu' button

This works perfectly on most R1, R3 and R4 discs. The hack doesn't work on R1 copies of Fight Club and Titus, though. (These are both Fox discs.) The rejection screen is Fox's own, rather than the player's. However, all is not lost...

HACK 2
1) Go into player's set-up menu and select AUTO PLAY - ON
(If you're not too bothered about seeing logos, adverts and copyright warnings before your films, you might as well keep this setting.)
2) Put your R1 disc in the tray and wait for the check regional code message to appear
3) Press DISPLAY
4) Press DISC MENU
5) The disc should now completely bypass the menu stage and start playing

PHILIPS HTS 3100
Press stop until disk tray ejects then pressing 99990 and thats it all done

PHILIPS DVD 622
Here are the steps. I added some detail:

1. Connect DVD player to your TV, turn both on, remove any disc that might be in the player and close door.

2. Press and hold Stop button on the remote (not the one on the player) until door reopens

3. With just the default background displayed on TV (blueish image of disc center with PHILIPS on disc - do NOT press the System Menu button), press 2812 on remote. In a moment, the Region menu will be displayed.

4. Press OK on remote to cycle through region codes until region changes to 9

5. Power off DVD player (with Region menu still displayed showing 9)

6. Wait 2 minutes (according to some others' directions; I'm not sure the 2 minutes is necessary) then turn player back on.

This hack should work on all Philips DVD players as of 06/01/2001 with any firmware version, and other similar models by manufacturers such as Grundig, Marantz and Yamaha. If the hack fails to work then check the sections below to see if your player is listed.

Send the infra-red code RC6 (aka Codeset 4, Key 235) to your player. You can do this with a OneForAll

Open the tray
Press 0, 0, 0 and 0 on your remote control
Press 0 for region free or 1 for region 1, 2 for region 2 etc.
To check region Open the tray and press Display on the remote

Navigate the OS menus to the Preferences page (Right x 3)
Navigate down to the Default setting (Down x 5)
Press the right button to highlight the Reset option
Press 1, 3, 5, 5, 6 and 6
Region setting dialog should now appear showing the current region
Press Up/Down to select desired region (region 0 = region free)
Press Ok, and the changes should now be permanent.

The onscreen display should turn red, indicating that your region settings have been changed.
Region Two:

Press Play, 2, 7 and 4 on the Remote Control. The on-screen display should then look like this: '____ ____'.

Press the Play button on the Remote Control.
The onscreen display should turn red, indicating that your region settings have been changed.

What To Do If Your Player Is Not Listed Here Yet.

If one of these hacks does work for you then GREAT! please leave us feedback and let us know on our forum :) However, If you have tried and tried this hack till your blue in the face and you STILL cant get that region 1 copy of 'Michael Flatley's Lord of the dance' to work then you still have a few options:

Consider using a UK based online rental company for your DVD's such as or who have a fabulous range of movies to rent with no late return fees and a free trial. Its much cheaper to do it this way than to wait for sky digital or buy region 2 or 1 films from the internet.
