Hack Details for your MATSUI DVD, Blu-Ray or HD DVD Player

MATSUI DVD-110
To change the current region setting on this player

1. Press the Menu button on your remote control
2. Press the 9 button on your remote control
3. Press the Open/Close button on your remote control, note the draw will not open
4. Press the 5 button on your remote control
5. Press the Mute button on your remote control when presented with the region selection page
6. Press the OK button on your remote control when presented with the region selection page
7. Press the Exit button on your remote control when presented with the region selection page
8. The word ALL will appear on the screen and your player will now play discs from any region

To enable VideoCD playback on this unit

1. Open the drive tray
2. Place any CD in the drive tray
3. Press the Stop button on your remote control
4. Press the Menu button on your remote control
5. Press the 9 button on your remote control
6. Press the 1-ALL button on your remote control
7. Press the Open/Close button on your remote control
8. You should now be in a new menu in which you can enable VideoCD playback

MATSUI DVD-120
Multi region hack
* Using Machine Buttons **NOT** the remote.*

1.Switch power to machine ON
*on the machine NOT the handset.*...
2.Press and hold STOP,EJECT & SKIP for a few seconds
This brings up a menu including region protection.

MATSUI DVD 225
1. Turn unit on.
2. Open the Disc Tray.
3. On the remote control type 3, 4, 9, 7, 3, 4.
4. Press the number of the Region you require or 0 (region free).
5. If the unit is reset or the power left off for a prolonged period of time it might default back to Region 2 - Simply repeat above to regain Multi Region capability.

MATSUI DVD 125
Disable Macrovision:
1. Make sure there is no DVD in the player.
2. Using the remote control, key in the following: Stop, Index, Menu, 5, 9, 7, then Exit.

MATSUI DVD-110
Press 9 on the remote
Press Open/Close on the Remote, the tray should not open though
Press 5 on the remote
Press Mute on the remote, this should bring up the Region Selection page
Press Ok then Exit
The word ALL should appear and you will be able to play discs from any Region
VCD Hack 1:

Place ANY CD in the players tray
Press Stop button on the Remote
Press Menu
Press 9
Press the 1-ALL button
Press Open/Close
This should take you into a menu from which you can enable VCD playback
Multi-Region Hack 2:

Press the Menu button on the Remote
Press the 1, 6 and 7 buttons
Press the Mute button
VCD Hack 2:

Press the Open button on the Remote to open the drive tray
Place an audio CD in the drive tray
Press the Open button on the Remote to close the drive tray
Press the Menu button
Press the 1 button
Press the Index (1-All) button
Press the Open button
Press the 1 button

MATSUI DVD-120
Perform ALL functions on the players front panel, NOT from the Remote Control
Turn the machine on
Press Stop, Skip and Open at the same time and hold for a few seconds
A Menu will appear
Select the region you want and play your disc

MATSUI DVD-122, DVD-125
Power on the DVD player and ensure there is no disc in the drive
Press Menu
Then press 1, 6, 7 and press Mute for ALL Regions
Press Exit
Disable Macrovision:

Insert a DVD
Press Stop, Bookmark and Menu
Press 5, 9, 7 then Exit
VCD Hack:

Insert a music CD
Press Stop, Menu, 1, Bookmark, Open
This will give you the option to enable or disable VCD playback

Power On the unit and Open the tray
Press 3, 4, 9, 7, 3 and 4 on the remote
Press the required region, i.e. 1 for region 1 etc, or 0 for region free

MATSUI DAV-70
Open the tray
Press 8, 1, 3, 2 and 8
The region menu will appear
Press Enter until region 9 is selected and press Play
The unit will now be multi region
VCD Playback:

Open the tray
Press 0, 0, 0, 0 and 1

What To Do If Your Player Is Not Listed Here Yet.

If one of these hacks does work for you then GREAT! please leave us feedback and let us know on our forum :) However, If you have tried and tried this hack till your blue in the face and you STILL cant get that region 1 copy of 'Michael Flatley's Lord of the dance' to work then you still have a few options:

Use DVD hacks to search all other internet resources for your hack by entert your player model number below:

OPTION 2

Post your problem on the forum and we will try and help.

OPTION 3

Consider using a UK based online rental company for your DVD's such as or who have a fabulous range of movies to rent with no late return fees and a free trial. Its much cheaper to do it this way than to wait for sky digital or buy region 2 or 1 films from the internet.
