Hack Details for your CYBERHOME DVD, Blu-Ray or HD DVD Player

CYBERHOME AD-N212, AD-N512
Press the Open button on the remote control to open the drive tray
Press the 7 button on the remote
Press the 6 button again on the remote
Press the SEL button on your remote
You will now enter the hidden setup page, and can change the player to any region or set it to region free by entering 13 as the country code
This hack may not work on all versions of firmware. Note that the newer Cyberhome AD-M512 model doesn't appear to support this hack.

Turn On the player and make sure there is no disc in
Close the tray
Press Menu, 1 and 9
A menu will appear and press Enter, this will highlight the Region setting
Press the number of the region required i.e. 0, 1, 2 etc.
Press Enter again
Press Open/Close tray

Turn On the player
Open the tray
Press Stop
Enter 1, 9, 9, 9
Select the required region code. i.e. 1 for region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on.
Press Enter to confirm change
Close the tray with the remote
If the above fails to work then you may wish to try:

Turn On the player
Open the tray
Press Stop
Enter 3, 3, 5, 8
Select the required region code. i.e. 1 for region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on.
Close the tray with the remote

Turn On the player
Press Setup
Enter 1, 3, 6 and 9
Press 3 x Left
Press 1 x Right
A new entry Version appears in the Setup menu
Change the region code with the Up and Down arrows
Changing this value to 0 sets the player region free
Multi-Region Hack 2:

Turn On the player
Press Setup
Enter 1, 3, 6 and 9
Press 3 x Left
Press 1 x Right
A new entry Version appears in the Setup menu
Move cursor Down to Version and then cursor Right to highlight B40016c
Enter 1, 3, 6 and 9
Change the region code with the Up and Down arrows
Changing this value to 0 sets the player region free

CYBERHOME DVD-505
Ensure the tray is Closed with no disc
Press Menu
Press 1, 1, 1, and 1 to Open a hidden configuration menu.
Use Up and Down arrows to highlight Configuration and press Enter
Enter desired region code, i.e. 1 for R.C.-1 and 2 for R.C.-2 etc
Note:- There are rumours that this can only be done 100 times.

Be very careful not to change the option on the second line Destroy Selection table. Don't even touch it! Changing this option to Yes will disable the possibility to change the code in the future, although updating the firmware will fix this.

Press Setup on remote control
Move to General Setup
Press 1, 3, 6, 9 in order
Then use the Down button to select the region you want to set it to (set 0 it will play all discs then)
Press Enter
Exit out of the Setup menu
If this code fails to work then you may wish to try the code

Turn On the player and make sure there is no disc in it
Close the tray (Important! Not working with opened tray!)
Press Menu (PBC), 1 and 9
A menu will appear with the Region setting highlighted
Press Enter many times for the number of the region required i.e. 0, 1, 2 etc.
Press Open/Close tray

CYBERHOME DVR-1600
Power On the player
With the remote press Set up then 1, 6, 9, 5, 1 and 8
A hidden menu will appear
Choose your required region from 0-9
Region 0 sets the player to multiregional.
Exit the menu and power Off and then power On
If the above hack does not work then please use the one below. It is dependant on whatever version of the Firmware is on the player. The latest version will work with the following.

Press Setup and then Rec
Press 8, 1, 0 and 5
Press Rec
Select the region code with the number keys or the navigation keys. 0 for Multiregion.
Press Setup to return from the setup menu

Turn on your DVD player and open the tray. Press the stop button on your remote and enter 1999. A men
will pop up. Select the region code using the remote (set it to ALL). Confirm it, using enter and leave the
menu using the return button on your remote. Close the tray,

Switch the player on and Open the cd Tray. Press Stop button on the remote control. Press 3358 on the
remote control. Select region-Code by pressing region number (1-6). Close the cd-tray.

Turn on the player
Open the tray
Press Stop

1. First make sure there is no disc in the player, and there is no obstruction in front of tray. (Glass door,
etc...) Close the tray.
2. Press MENU on the remote (Ignore the 'NO' symbol that appears)
3. With the remote, press 1, then press 9 (Ignore the 'NO' symbol that appears)
4. A menu should appear.
5. REGION CODE should already be highlighted. If you want to change this, press ENTER on the remote.
Then type a region code you want the player to have. (0 is all region) Then press ENTER on the remote after
changing the setting.
6. To exit the menu and save your settings, make sure nothing is in front of your player (Glass door, etc...)
and push OPEN/CLOSE with the remote. This should make your player region free.

1. Press SETUP
2. Press RIGHT, RIGHT, RIGHT, ENTER, DOWN, DOWN, DOWN, DOWN, ENTER
3. Press 1, 3, 6, 9
4. Select region (0 = multi-region)
5. Press ENTER

1. Power on with your remote control.
2. Leave the drive empty and closed.
3. Press and hold the the menu button for a few seconds.
4. Push digit 1 and 9.
5. You should see a new menu enabling you to change the region code.
5. Press your enter button to display 0 (all regions).
6. Power off your drive with the remote.
7. Power on again and your drive is now region free.

With the DVD tray empty but the DVD displaying on TV, use the following sequence:

Press 9
A region menu will come up. Choose your region change wisely.

What To Do If Your Player Is Not Listed Here Yet.

If one of these hacks does work for you then GREAT! please leave us feedback and let us know on our forum :) However, If you have tried and tried this hack till your blue in the face and you STILL cant get that region 1 copy of 'Michael Flatley's Lord of the dance' to work then you still have a few options:

Post your problem on the forum and we will try and help.

OPTION 3

Consider using a UK based online rental company for your DVD's such as or who have a fabulous range of movies to rent with no late return fees and a free trial. Its much cheaper to do it this way than to wait for sky digital or buy region 2 or 1 films from the internet.
