Hack Details for your BUSH DVD, Blu-Ray or HD DVD Player

BUSH DVD 2004
Turn the system on and place a DVD in it, play the DVD, then press stop,
resume stop should appear, then press set up on your remote control, a set
up display should appear on your screen. which has Language, Scart out,
Audio, TV.Type, TV.Sys, with options chosen next to each one, press down on
the remote untill TV.Sys is highlighted, mine was set as PAL60, press
select, to change the setting from PAL60, to one of the following (PAL60R -
AUTO - NTSC - PAL) choose AUTO to make it region free, or NTSC to play
region 1 discs, or just change it back and forth when wanting to play a
different region disc.

BUSH DVD-2002
To convert this player to Multi-Region

1. Press the Open button on your remote control to open the drive tray
2. Press the buttons 2, 0, 0 and 1, in order and one at a time on your remote control
3. Your player should now be multiregion

To convert this player to Multi-Region on older firmware

1. Press the Open button on your remote control to open the drive tray
2. Press the 7 button on your remote control
3. Press the 7 button again on your remote control
4. Press the Enter button on your remote control
5. You will now enter the hidden setup page, and can change the player to any Region or set it to Region Free by entering 13 as the country code.

BUSH DVD-2000
To convert this player to Multi-Region

1. Open the disc tray
2. Place a region 1 disc in the tray, but don't close it
3. Press the buttons 0, 1, 2 and then 3 on your remote control in order, one at a time
4. Press the play button on either your remote or the player

To return this player back to Region 2 only and its factory default settings

1. Open the disc tray
2. Press the Zoom button on your remote control
3. Press the Return button on your remote control
4. Your player should now go into Standby mode
5. Press the Power button on your remote control

To return this player to Region 2 only (alternative method)

1. Open the disc tray
2. Place a region 2 disc in the tray, but don't close it
3. Press the buttons Return and then Play on your remote control in order, one at a time

BUSH DVD-102
Open up the tray. Press 2, 0, 0, 1 and then ENTER. This will bring up a region-coding page. Select the required region code then press OPEN/CLOSE.

BUSH DVD-2000
Open up the disc tray and place a region 1 disc on it. Don't close the tray. On the remote control press 0, 1, 2, 3 and then PLAY. The DVD-Player is now set to region 1. To get it back to region 2, open up the tray and place a region 2 disc on it. Don't close the tray. Press RETURN on the remote and then PLAY.

BUSH DVD1005
1. Press the Open/Close button on your remote control to open the disc tray.
2. Using the remote control, press the buttons 3, 3, 0, 8 and 8, in order, one at a time.
3. Using the remote control, press the 1 button for region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on, or 0 for multi-region playback.
4. Press the Open/Close button on your remote control to close the disc tray.
5. The on-screen display will now indicate the currently selected region.
This method may not work on the 1005/A model.

BUSH DVD2023, 2024
1. Press the Open button on your remote control.
2. Using the remote control, key in the following: 2, 8, 1, 2.
3. Press the Close button on your remote control.

To playback VCD and SVCD discs on this player
1. Insert the VCD/SVCD disc into the drive tray and close it.
2. Using your remote control, press the Goto button repeatedly until the menu says VCD at the top of the screen.

BUSH DVD2008A
1. Press the Open button on your remote control .
2. Using your remote control, press the buttons 3, 3, 0, 8, 8 and the region number you require (eg 1 or 2), or use 0 for region free, in order, one at a time
3. Press the Play button on your remote control.

1. Power on your player.
2. Using the remote control key in Open/Close, Zoom, A/B, Up, Left, Down, Right.
3. The DVD player may show a Region Free message, powering off/on your player does not remove the region free setting

BUSH DVD-102
Press the Open/Close button on the players Remote Control to open the drive tray.
Press the buttons 2, 0, 0 and 1 on the Remote Control.
Press the Enter button on the Remote Control
You will now enter a hidden Setup page, and can change the player to any Region. To set it to Region Free enter 13 as the country code. You can also disable Macrovision from this menu.
Press the Open/Close button on the Remote Control to close the drive tray.

BUSH DVD-1000, DVD-2000
Open the DVD players tray.
Place a Region 1 disc in the tray, but don't close it.
Press the buttons 0, 1, 2 and then 3 on your remote control in order, one at a time.
Press the Play button on either your remote or the player
To change the player back to Region 2 only functionality:

Open the DVD players tray.
Place a Region 2 disc in the tray, but don't close it.
Press the buttons Return and then Play on your remote control in order, one at a time
If the multi-region hack fails to work on the Bush DVD-2000 then try:-

Open the tray using the button on the player fascia
Using the remote press 7, 7 and Enter
The set-up page should now be indicated
Change the region to 13 to make region free, MacroVision can also be disabled from this menu.

BUSH DVD-1005
Press 3, 3, 0, 8, 8 and Enter
The screen will display chosen region, eg R2
You can also try this if the above fails:

Open draw with remote
Key in these numbers, (with a pause to let the 'hand' icon go away in between each) 3, 3, 0, 8 and 8
Key in the region number required; eg 0 for multiregion or 1 for USA
Close drawer with remote.
TV screen should show the region selected in bottom left corner

BUSH DVD-2002

Press Play on the Remote, and the DVD door will close
The DVD player is now Region Free

This player should be region free straight from the box
If the player fails to be multi-region then you may wish to try the following instructions:

Press the Open button on the remote
Using the remote press 2, 8, 1 and 2
Press the Close button on the remote
For VCD playback:

Put a VCD in tray and Close
Press the Goto button repeatedly until the VCD menu appears
Press Stop
Press the Goto button - a time bar should appear
Press 0 then Play

BUSH DVD-2035, DVD-2035XI
Turn On the player
Press Setup
Enter 1, 3, 6 and 9
Press Left, Left, Left and Right
A new entry appears in the Setup menu called Version where you can change the region code with the Up and Down arrows. Changing this value to 0 sets the player region free

Press Open tray.
Press 2, 8, 1, 2 and Enter
You will now be in the manufacturers settings
Select the required region, by pressing Enter. The region will be shown at the top of the screen; 1 = region 1, 2 = region 2; etc; 9 = multi region
Press Close tray

BUSH DVD-2523
Turn On the player and Eject the disc tray
On the remote press 2, 8, 1, 2 followed by Enter
This gets you to the engineers menu
Press Down until you reach COUNTRY CODE and press Enter
The current region code will change to four dashes (----)
Input one number (0=Region Free, 1=USA 2=Europe, etc) and press Enter again
The new region code will now be displayed. You can exit by just pressing the Eject button once more

Push Setup button on the remote
Select System Info on the menu
Enter 1, 1, 0 and 1 on the remote
It will show the region code

Select 255 for Region Free
Press Setup key to save settings
If this doesn't work with your remote try using the DVD from panel keys

VCD Playback:

Press Setup on the remote
Now press Next, Prev, Next and Prev
Ver should appear in the top right
change 3001 to 3000
change 5001 to 5000

To unlock this dvd player, open the disc tray and type 9735 on the remote. It will bring up a setup screen.
Change the region to region 0 and you'll be region free.

1. Open disc tray and enter with the remote: 2,8,1,2 then press the number of the region you require.

The region number should appear on screen if done correctly. 28129 or 28120 should make your player
region free.

Open tray and press 33088 on remote followed by 1 for region 1, 2 for region 2 and so on.
Follow with 0 for multi-region.
Bottom left of screen will display region chosen.

For VCD/SVCD playback.
Open tray and press 83119 on remote.
You will see VCD displayed in bottom left of screen.
Press enter on remote to load CD.
All VCD/SVCDs will now play. Code remains active until power removed from unit.

1. Open the dvd tray and be sure to be in 'stop mode'.
2. Press setup key.
3. Press next, prev, next, prev
4. On screen you will see your current version in the top right hand corner.
5. Select 255 for region free using the left and right buttons

What To Do If Your Player Is Not Listed Here Yet.

If one of these hacks does work for you then GREAT! please leave us feedback and let us know on our forum :) However, If you have tried and tried this hack till your blue in the face and you STILL cant get that region 1 copy of 'Michael Flatley's Lord of the dance' to work then you still have a few options:

Use DVD hacks to search all other internet resources for your hack by entert your player model number below:

Post your problem on the forum and we will try and help.

OPTION 3

Consider using a UK based online rental company for your DVD's such as or who have a fabulous range of movies to rent with no late return fees and a free trial. Its much cheaper to do it this way than to wait for sky digital or buy region 2 or 1 films from the internet.
