Hack Details for your ASPIRE DVD, Blu-Ray or HD DVD Player
ASPIRE AD-900, AD-1000
These are the instructions are for a player purchased in the US for use in the UK. The unit is 120/240 voltage and plays PAL and NTSC DVDs.
Open tray door
Press Setup
Press Right arrow keys to choose the option Preference Page
Press digit buttons 1, 3, 7 and 9
The TV screen will show an interface: REGION CODE: 1 (1 means region 1)
Press Up and/or Down arrow keys to change the number 1 to 0 (0 means region free)
Now the setting is OK, press Setup to exitMULTI REGION DVD PLAYERS CAN BE BOUGHT ONLINE FOR JUST A FEW POUNDS. CLICK HERE FOR MORE

Consider using a UK based online rental company for your DVD's such as or who have a fabulous range of movies to rent with no late return fees and a free trial. Its much cheaper to do it this way than to wait for sky digital or buy region 2 or 1 films from the internet.
