Hack Details for your AKURA DVD, Blu-Ray or HD DVD Player

AKURA ADV-145S, ADV-147AS, ADV-141S, DVCI-19S
Power On without a disc in the player
Press the Setup key on the remote
Press Vol+, Vol-, Vol+ and Volâ€“ (these are the buttons marked + & - that are under the audio key on the remote)
This will then display region number on top right of screen
Use the Right arrow key until 255 is displayed (the numbers 1 to 6 are the different regions and 255 is multi region)
Press Setup to exit
Your player is now region free

1. Open the disc tray
2. Press SETUP on the remote
3. Go to entry Preferences Pages
4. Press PLAY 2 x
5. Press 4, 9, 5, 4, 0
6. Select the RC (0=codefree)

2. Press 1, 3, 6, 9, LEFT, LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT
3. Select the RC in the new menu (0=codefree)

1. Press TV/DVD
2. Open the disc tray
3. Press SETUP
4. Press RIGHT, LEFT, DOWN, UP, DISPLAY, 0
5. Press SETUP
6. Turn the player off

What To Do If Your Player Is Not Listed Here Yet.

If one of these hacks does work for you then GREAT! please leave us feedback and let us know on our forum :) However, If you have tried and tried this hack till your blue in the face and you STILL cant get that region 1 copy of 'Michael Flatley's Lord of the dance' to work then you still have a few options:

Use DVD hacks to search all other internet resources for your hack by entert your player model number below:

Post your problem on the forum and we will try and help.

OPTION 3

Consider using a UK based online rental company for your DVD's such as or who have a fabulous range of movies to rent with no late return fees and a free trial. Its much cheaper to do it this way than to wait for sky digital or buy region 2 or 1 films from the internet.
